Dr. Scot Holman is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He graduated at the top of his class at the University of Tennessee, where he completed his medical education, and was nominated to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society, among other laurels.
He completed his residency at the University of Florida, where he developed outstanding clinical and surgical skills while learning from some of Americaโs most esteemed ophthalmic surgeons. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who also specializes in diseases of the cornea, glaucoma, diabetes, and other retinal and macular disorders.
Dr. Holman specializes in cataract laser surgery and lens implantation, utilizing the latest microsurgical techniques and state-of-the-art IOLs. He has performed more than 17,000 surgeries and is one of the regionโs first eye surgeons qualified to perform Femto refractive laser surgery, the most advanced method to eliminate cataracts. For his glaucoma patients with cataracts, Dr. Holman offers the Hydrus Microstent, which lowers eye pressure less invasively and with fewer complications than traditional glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Holman and his family live in Mount Dora. Together they enjoy camping, hiking, boating, and many other outdoor activities.
