Lindsey Walsh, OD

Lindsey Walsh is a Doctor of Optometry. Optometrists’ primary function is to diagnose and assess eye health and vision conditions, including ocular emergencies, corneal degenerations, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, lazy eye (amblyopia and strabismus), and other issues. 

Dr. Walsh graduated with honors and earned her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, where she gained extended education and experience in providing adult and pediatric vision care, including assessing vision health and function, and prescribing glasses and contact lenses (RGP/hard and soft lenses) as well as other vision aids, such as prism and office lenses. 

Dr. Walsh completed an internship with honors in Low Vision Rehabilitation/Geriatrics, and externships with honors in Medical/Surgical and Ocular Disease, both from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.  

Dr. Walsh was voted ‘Best Optometrist’ in Lake and Sumter counties for 2023. She is a member of the Florida Optometric Association, the Gold Key Honor Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, among other affiliations. She has donated her time to various community events, including World Sight Day and the Special Olympics.
