Scott R. Wehrly, MD, Medical Director Lake Eye Associates, Board-Certified Laser Cataract & Lens Replacement and Corneal Surgeon
Dr. Wehrly is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is fellowship trained in cornea and external disease at Duke University and has been operating on eyes since 1992.
In 2001, after 7 years of military service in the Air Force, Dr. Wehrly joined Lake Eye Associates. He had served as Chief of Ophthalmology at MacDill AFB in Tampa, and as Chief of Ophthalmology and Director of Laser Eye Surgery at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
Dr. Wehrly has performed more than 22,600 successful state-of-the-art cataract surgeries, 12,000 refractive surgeries, and thousands of other ocular and laser procedures. He was the first surgeon in Central Florida to perform Femto refractive laser surgery.
Dr. Wehrly has extensive experience in Tecnis multifocal implants, including the new multifocal Symfony extended range of vision lens. He has also implanted thousands of toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) for the correction of higher amounts of astigmatism. Dr. Wehrly also combines glaucoma and cataract surgeries, the iStent inject, to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) and preserve vision in a single surgery.
Dr. Wehrly has been a predominant figure in the Lake County community for 20 years, donating his time to the care of the indigent and contributing to several charities. He lives in Tavares with his wife and 3 children.

Dr. Scot Holman is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He graduated at the top of his class at the University of Tennessee, where he completed his medical education, and was nominated to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society, among other laurels.
He completed his residency at the University of Florida, where he developed outstanding clinical and surgical skills while learning from some of America’s most esteemed ophthalmic surgeons. Christine Bui, OD, Optometric Physician
Dr. Christine Bui graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and minors in Chemistry, Medicine and Society with honors distinctions. She then went on to Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Davie, Florida where she graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry. While in school, she completed her internships training in various specialty clinics including specialty contact lenses, low vision, pediatrics, glaucoma, retina and other ocular diseases. Throughout her optometric training, she achieved membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric academic honor society.
Before joining Lake Eye Associates, Dr. Bui completed her optometric residency in Ocular Disease with emphasis in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the Center for Sight in Sarasota, Florida. During her residency, she was directly involved in patient care in both primary and specialty care settings and completed rotations with multiple Ophthalmology sub-specialties. Dr. Bui is also a member of the American Academy of Optometry.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Bui now makes her home in Wesley Chapel where she lives with her boyfriend and her cat. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, reading, and playing the violin.

Mari Holderby, OD, Optometric Physician
Mari Holderby, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2014. Prior to obtaining her Optometry degree, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science in 2010 and 2012, respectively.

Diba Ossareh, OD, Optometric Physician
Diba Ossareh, O.D. earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, in Davie, FL, where she completed multiple internships at specialty clinics in Southeast Florida. Her internship training includes care in retinal disease, glaucoma, cornea, cataracts, LASIK and refractive surgery. Karin Girgis, OD, Optometric Physician
Dr. Girgis earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. She chose to pursue a career in optometry because she believes that vision is one of our most essential senses and she’s passionate about helping people protect and preserve it.
Her clinical interests include dry eye management and fitting specialty contact lenses, and she takes pride in helping patients achieve clear, comfortable vision. Dr. Girgis is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and supported.
